As we continue our Build Client Trust Series, we will focus on Consistency. It is an excellent practice to be consistent with everything you do in your business. Think of it like this: You set an expectation with your clients then aim to keep your promise without fail. The more you remain consistent, the more you’ll build a reputation as someone reliable.
Let’s look at some areas in your business where you can be consistent.
We live in an era where the internet has become almost like our best friend. We spend so much time on it! Whenever we want the answer to our questions, our natural reaction is to search online. I will go a step further to say, we 'google it'. It's for this single reason that content marketing is so important. It’s the method used to get potential customers to find out about you.
But hear me out here; content marketing is not just about your website.
You should share quality content on your site. However, there are other places such as social media and emails. Set a schedule and stick with it. Not only will you build a reputation as being reliable, but also as someone who's knowledgeable. And of course, the added visibility is a nice bonus.
Consistency, here, focuses on several things:
You could also consider having a membership programme where you’d consistently release new products. Why is this helpful? It will help you build momentum and generate repeat purchases. It’s much easier to sell more products and services to an existing customer than it is to acquire a new one.
The last piece of the puzzle is email. One of the best ways to market and sell just about any product or service is to build a mailing list and to email them regularly. Get into the habit of emailing your subscribers once a week, twice a week or even daily. Keep to your schedule, share something of value, and get them engaged. Include offers for products and services that will help solve a problem they have. Also, ensure you respond to inquiries, or replies to your emails and newsletters in a timely manner.
Sounds like a lot? Don’t let it overwhelm you. Here are three different strategies you can implement to help you stay consistent without fail.
